Vale do Lobo is just a 20 minute drive from Faro airport, with direct flights from most major European cities in under 3 hours - it is also possible to fly to Seville or Lisbon and experience other parts of Spain or Portugal during the drive to Vale do Lobo.
Faro airport is a modern, single terminal airport with the normal range of facilities and a separate purpose built area for Car Hire, as below.

You can also book a private taxi transfer from Faro airport to Vale do Lobo using the online booking option on the Faro Airport website: http://www.faroairportguide.com/transfers.htm. There is also the normal taxi rank at the airport if you prefer not to pre-book.
